I Have always believed That I was the heroine of an untold story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most people do, you know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was never a writer. Never a journalist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But I love stories, and I have enough passion to turn every human being into a hero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However ordinary he thinks himself to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However damaged his soul is by repeated disappointments only life can deliver with such finesse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My father used to repeat theatrically:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Life is a beautiful garden embellished by our disappointments”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

for ever thirty years in Annahar newspaper, I listened to people’s stories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I happily, and quite naturally, turned them into heroes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However delusional they might have been.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However banal their daily lives were.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I allowed them to turn their disappointments into stories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For what is life but a beautiful garden embellished by our disappointments?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later on in life, when I had finished my battles – Not necessarily conquering them – I looked around me and saw a city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A city so wounded, yet so majestic, It was only natural to turn her into a heroine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A heroine who wears her scars and broken heart, a Vintage dress that still carries within its old and worn out fabric, a glimpse of color.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A glimpse of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I invite you to join me on a personal journey, where we discover together a city so flamboyant, it is only fair to call it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fabulous Beirut!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who knows, we might bump into each other someday, and you might allow me to turn your disappointments into a story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For what is life other than a beautiful garden embellished by our disappointments?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wouldn’t you agree, dad?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
